Sometimes, it is nice to take photos in a place that is a bit unexpected. That perfectly describes the old Naval Air Base in Alameda, California. Most of the buildings are boarded up and the building exteriors are decaying. There are odd colors painted on the outsides of buildings and the paint is often peeling off or worn off by the rain. And these are the exact reasons it makes for such a fun spot to take photos! The massive facades of solid colors make for such interesting backdrops. This family was excited to go out there to meet me for a photo session, and I had so much fun chasing their son, Santino, as he ran all over the empty lots!
