Kalena, Arthur and Chloe | Brushy Creek Lake Park

Since moving to Austin, Dripping Springs to be exact, I’ve been in awe of beauty of this landscape. When I started scouting out parks to take photos, I knew Brushy Creek Lake Park was a perfect spot. With tall, wild grass and mature trees, it has a gorgeous Hill Country look that I’ve been so excited to witness since I’ve arrived! I put out a post on Instagram that I was looking for families to photograph in the Austin area, and Kalena got in touch right away and we decided on Brushy Creek Lake Park. As a mom myself, I was fully on board when she mentioned that her daughter, Chloe, might be in a better mood for photos early in the morning! So we met bright and early at the park and luckily had the entire park to ourselves! As the sun rose, we got that beautiful golden light that I was hoping for! The best part of the entire session was finding out that Kalena and I are both San Francisco Bay Area transplants, and that she actually knows a few of my photographer friends from back home having worked as a wedding planner!
