Shelley and Chris were the most sweet clients. Their love story is one that struck my heart with joy, and I’m so glad I got to meet their lovely daughters as well!
Chris actually met Shelley while in the military. He was stationed in a town near Austin, Texas and met Shelley on one of his night’s out in the city. They met each other at a local town bar and hit it off.
To end this happy love story, soon after they fell in love and decided to tie the knot.
Flash forward to the present time, this beautiful couple decided to add to their love and start a family. They have two beautiful, sweet daughters: Zoe and Ava. Most sessions that have children involved can sometimes be a little unpredictable. Of course children never want to sit still to take pictures. Oppositely, these two were so cooperative and happy to be there! Throughout our session, they showered their family members with lots of hugs and kisses, making for the most adorable candid pictures.
Although it was cold during our winter family photos at Brushy Creek Lake Park, you could never tell from our pictures! This family’s love warmed up their session, and the session location was absolutely perfect.
Brushy Creek is a local park here in Austin. As a photographer here in the city, I often see many photographers at this location. This is likely because the grass is beautiful and long, giving every session a very classic country look that every client dies for.
My favorite part of this session was seeing what the family decided to wear! I told them “to avoid too many dark colors, to avoid matching too much, and to vary it a little.” I figured this made absolutely no sense and that I probably confused them more than helped them. However, when they arrived to their session, they hit the nail on the head!
This family’s outfit choices were absolutely perfect. They were casual, yet classy and cute, and also fit the holiday season. Their outfits didn’t scream Christmas, but they said Christmas in a soft and classic way.
During these winter family photos at Brushy Creek Lake Park, it was very easy to forget that we were still in Austin, Texas. The city usually is loud and bustling, with the everyday traffic from workers nearby. However, this park is a little bit out of the city, located in Cedar Park. Brushy Creek stretches for miles, offering a peaceful escape from the every day city life.
All in all, this session was absolutely spectacular. This family brought out Christmas in the most classic way. To book a session like these winter family photos at Brushy Creek Lake Park, click here. I absolutely can’t wait to meet you!
