Family Photos for a Sweet, Sweet Family

When I book family sessions, my heart smiles a little bit. But not all of them are super easy. As we all know, kids usually don’t want to sit still and say “cheese”. They want to run around, explore the new location, and have fun!

This sweet family has three boys and one five-month little girl. Going into the session, of course I didn’t know what to expect. This family arrived, dressed so nicely, and all six of them were ready for pictures!

The boys and the sweet baby girl were absolute gems when it came to taking pictures. They were incredibly polite and were so excited to get their pictures done. As you can see in their Lady Bird Johnson family photos below, they had so much love between them all. This family has been around the world and back, literally!

The family is originally from Iowa, but decided that they wanted to explore a little bit more. So, they moved to Turkey! They lived in Turkey for about six years, and then moved back to the US, where they settled in Austin. At least for a short while.

During their session, they told me they weren’t sure if they were going to stay in Austin too long, but it was a new experience for them while they decided what location to live in next.

This family was not short of adventure or love during their family photos!

Our Lady Bird Johnson Family Photos

The Lady Bird Johnson is a wildflower center here in Austin, Texas. It is an open garden filled with a variety of gorgeously blooming flowers, as you may have guessed. This makes for such a serene photo session location.

The garden center is filled with gorgeous and is open year round. The center features a variety of stone walls and many assortments of backdrops that is absolutely perfect for family photos. This is truly one of Austin’s gems, and I love to come here year round to relax and smell the roses.

The day of the session, it was a very hot day. We decided to do the session in the early morning to avoid the harsh light and heat, but we still ended up sweating by the end of the session. No less, these Lady Bird Johnson family photos were absolutely worth a little bit of sweat, as I had the opportunity to meet this amazing family.
