A Well-Planned Wildflower Engagement

When planning sessions or weddings of any kind, I always offer my help to couples and families. From recommendations on what to wear, to looking for the perfect location, I love to help in any way possible.

Most people only are in front of a camera for two days: engagements and weddings. As I have the blessing of capturing so many engagements and weddings, I love to offer advice to make you feel comfortable.

This couple took planning to the next level, and you can see how well it paid off in their session featured below. Kimberly decided to get her hair and makeup done for the session, but in a different style than she is doing for her wedding. I absolutely love how prepared and styled this couple was during their LBJ engagement session.

When looking for a location for their session, we went through multiple different ideas. Once we came across the idea of going to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, they were sold.

Here in Central Texas, the Spring is prime season for bluebonnets to bloom. I love how everything was in bloom for us, as it made such a great backdrop for our session. You can just tell how breathtaking the countryside of Austin gets in the spring and summer.

A Surprise Meeting

Not only was this couple an absolute pleasure via planning every detail of their session, but they were also fantastic to meet. Kimberly and Troy met in one of the most random places – 7/11! Kimberly would always visit 7/11 after dropping her son off at school to grab a coffee. Troy would visit that same 7/11 often, and once he caught site of Kimberly, he made it a routine.

After talking with her a few times while they were in the store together, Troy asked Kimberly on a date. They knew it was something that was going to last a lifetime from the start.

Overall, this Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower engagement was an absolute dream, from the styling to getting to meet Kimberly and Troy. I am so excited to see them again in June for their wedding!
