Camp Lucy is one of my all time favorite Dripping Springs wedding venues! There are actually two sides to Camp Lucy, and Rose and Chad chose to get married at Ian’s Chapel. Ian’s Chapel is gorgeous, and the land surrounding it is just as stunning. It has an elegant feel, yet maintains a natural look with so much outdoor space. The outdoor ceremony site has a beautiful arch that looks out onto hill country, which makes it the perfect spot to exchange vows. There is ample space for plenty of guests to enjoy cocktail hour outside, and once the sun begins the set, the grounds have a golden glow perfect for photos with the happy couple.
Rose, the bride, grew up in Austin and wanted to go back to her roots for her wedding, so she couldn’t think of a better spot than Camp Lucy. Rose and Chad seemed like the perfect fit for another – sweet and so loving throughout the entire day. Chad is actually a coach for the Buffalo Bills, so there was a lot of talk about football at this wedding and a few unexpected guests who were NFL players!
I will tell you what – these folks know how to party! The reception started off strong with dancing and didn’t stop until very late! The In10City Band was absolutely amazing! Hands down, they were the best live wedding band I’ve seen in all my years photographing weddings. I can’t recommend them enough! They kept the crowd going all night with their own great versions of modern pop songs. All in all, it was a perfect day.
