The Couple

Stephanie and John were an absolute blast to photograph! Not only are they so carefree and fun to be around, they are adventurous by nature and love to hike, camp, explore, and spend as much time on the water as possible. Commons Ford Ranch Park is practically their backyard and a place they spend a lot of time doing outdoor activities, so they decided it would be the perfect spot for their engagement photos. They even jumped into the water at the end of their engagement session for some unique and fun photos! It was obvious this couple was made for each other! I barely had to pose or instruct them. They interacted with each other with such ease and it is easy to see they were made for one another. I had so much fun photographing this spontaneous, adventurous couple at Commons Ford Ranch Park in Austin!

The Park

Oh my, this park is gorgeous!! The spring is probably the best time to photograph couples in Commons Ford Ranch Park, because the grass is green, lush and tall, and the wildflowers are out in full bloom. The trees are so green and have delicate, hanging branches that couples can walk amongst and through, making for beautiful photos. When the sun sets in this park, it turns golden and makes the perfect light for an engagement session. I have been to this park a few times – once in the winter and once in the spring. They both have their perks, but I have to say I think spring is the perfect time to check out this lovely and wild park.

The Engagement Session

This park is huge! We spent a full hour and a half wandering along the paths through the trees, by the water, up and down hills, stopping at any place we thought would be a good spot for photos. Stephanie and John even climbed a tree at one point! I told you this couple was fun to photograph! We even found an old blue building that made the perfect backdrop in the setting sun.
