Francis + Kristen | Engagement Photography at Wildseed Farms, Fredericksburg

If ya’ll have not been to Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg, it is a must! They have fields upon fields of gorgeous flowers in all different shapes and colors. It is a fun outing for families but is also a great place to rent out for the evening for engagement photos!

Kristen and Francis are getting married at Lucky Arrow Retreat in the heart of the hill country in Dripping Springs next year! Kristen wanted something beautiful but different than her venue for engagement photos and asked me to drive out to Fredericksburg. I am so glad I did – Wildseed Farms is a photographer’s dream! My favorite flower field is the Lemonmint, which is a tall deep purple flower that makes for the most dreamy engagement photos.

The best time to get these photos is in the evening before the sun goes down. Often times fields of flowers or lavender or even vineyards are much too bright unless it is just before sunset. With the flat land and the strong sun we have here in Texas, it is hard to get the beautiful photos you see below in the middle of the day. So I always recommend getting your photos taken before sunset when the colors are vibrant and it is less hot!
