If you haven’t yet been to Villa Antonia in Austin for a Villa Antonia wedding, you are seriously missing out! This gorgeous Tuscan-inspired venue is just on the outskirts of Austin and has some of the most beautiful views of the hill country I have ever seen! As an Austin wedding photographer who has been to almost every venue in the area, I have to say this one is definitely one of my all-time favorites.
The layout of this Villa Antonia wedding was nothing short of perfect! The entire outdoor area in the center of the main buildings was filled with tables and gorgeous flowers from Remi and Gold, an incredible team of florists in Austin. The light filters through the trees surrounding the venue just right, creating gorgeous lighting all day long. The ceremony area is perfectly placed, with the sun setting just behind the balcony, making those highly-desired sunset ceremonies a dream come true. Tania and Carlos had their ceremony shortly before sunset, and we made sure to use the time right after the ceremony to get in all those beautiful golden hour photos of the couple!
The reception outdoors of Carlos and Tania’s Villa Antonia wedding was perfectly lit by string lights in every which way, which really help create a gorgeous ambiance. String lights or some sort of ambient lighting is extremely important in any wedding reception taking place outside at night so that wedding photographers don’t have to heavily flash the bride and groom and their guests. It looks much better and it’s worth the extra money if the venue doesn’t have them to have your coordinator look into that for you!
The dancing portion of the evening at Villa Antonia took place inside their dance hall, which was the perfect size for the remainder of the evening, and guests were able to go in and out to the balcony as they pleased. I was stunned by how beautiful this Villa Antonia wedding was, with the bright colors of the bridesmaids dresses, the incredible florals, and the sunny skies. I can’t wait to photograph more weddings at this gorgeous Austin venue!
Lastly, I want to mention how important long wedding sparklers are for your sparkler exit! At most Austin venues, I photograph a sparkler exit, since it is pretty common in this part of the country. If you purchase the short sparklers, some people’s sparklers will go out before the coordinators have a chance to light all the sparklers. So if it is in your budget, purchase the long sparklers and your photos will turn out super beautiful! Enjoy the photos from Carlos and Tania’s stunning Villa Antonia wedding!
