Summer South Congress Family Session

South Congress Ave is one of Austin’s most quirky and famous streets in downtown Austin. When this family told me they loved the city, I knew we had to come here for some fun city family photos! South Congress Ave features the beautiful South Congress Hotel, the quirky murals at the TOMS shoe store, as well as some other brightly-painted walls and ivy backdrops. Despite this 100 degree day in August, we had so much fun exploring the street! After the session, we were all exhausted (and sweaty).

Summer photo sessions aren’t popular in Austin for the obvious reason of the heat, but actually, they are definitely bearable in the evening hours between 6-8. The light gets really beautiful as the sun starts to set and you can still wear your dress or shorts without worrying about getting cold! So I say go for it!
