Bluebonnet Season

Oh my gosh, how I love wildflower season in Texas in the spring! That has probably been my favorite time of year in Austin since moving here! This year, the Bluebonnet season was nothing short of stunning due to all the rain we had prior to April. I had so many family mini sessions in the Bluebonnets, it was hard to keep up!

These three kids had such a blast running around amongst the wildflowers in Reimer’s Ranch in Dripping Springs. Towards the end of our session, there was even a thundershower, but the kids made the most of it and ran around in the rain! That made for some great photos!

There were so many amazing spots this year for wildflower photos, but this location was my favorite! There are generally not many people at Reimer’s Ranch, so there is no competition for locations with great flowers. This year, I was able to photograph from mid-March all the way through mid-May with a variety of wildflowers throughout the months.
