Lady Bird Lake Boardwalk

Dakotah and Jack already had in mind exactly where they wanted to have their engagement photos taken! They love the Lady Bird Lake Boardwalk and knew that would be the perfect setting for photos of the two of them against the gorgeous Austin cityscape. The Lady Bird Lake Boardwalk is a stretch of boardwalk that parallels downtown Austin. It looks out at the water and the high rises and looks stunning at sunset. There are always a multitude of people riding bikes or just strolling along the boardwalk. A lot of people even sit and lean against the railings to check out the view. We had the perfect weather heading into downtown Austin in the hours before sunset and had a great time strolling along the boardwalk in the warm evening air!

Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

We also went to Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center to get some photos of the Bluebonnets, which predictably pop up every spring in early April! We were at the tail end of the Bluebonnet season, but still managed to find some for their engagement photos and they were still as gorgeous as ever! Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is a great Austin location for family photos, engagement photos, and Bluebonnet mini sessions. I have arguably too many blog posts featuring LBJ, ranging from families wanting photos of their kids running around amongst the trees and flowers, to engaged couples, to elopements at this gorgeous place!
