Lady Bird Lake Boardwalk and South Congress Ave Engagement Photography

I had such a great time photographing Kirsten and Chris this summer in downtown Austin for their engagement! Although they are not getting hitched in Austin, they knew they wanted their engagement photos downtown as it is a special place to them. We talked about doing engagement photos on South Congress Ave first; it is so quintessential Austin after all! Then we decided to head to the nearby boardwalk on Lady Bird Lake, which is absolutely stunning at sunset. It ended up being a beautiful evening, with warm night air and pretty colors in the sky for those last few photos before sundown.

So many couples ask me what to wear for their engagement photography session. Kirsten and Chris did such a great job of picking two comfortable, but slightly different from one another, outfits with a good amount of color and uniqueness but not so unique that they clashed or were distracting.
