The sunsets in Dripping Springs are to die for lately! There is nothing like a gorgeous Austin hill country field at sunset to serve as the backdrop for families wanting fall photos. This sweet family wanted photos of their adorable daughter, Delaney, and we had such a good time chasing her around the fields.

What to wear to your Austin family photography session

I absolutely loved what Brian and Andrea chose to wear for this family session. I always tell people to stay away from super dark outfits, and you can see how they chose gorgeous pastels colors that go so well with the warm tones of the landscape. It also works well to use bright colors that pop, or lighter colors, like an off-white or beige. Some people get really unique with their colors, and I love that too!

When is the best time for Austin family photos at sunset?

The very best time for these “golden hour” photos is the hour before the sun sets. This can change a little depending on location, such as an area with heavy tree growth that can block more of the light. That is why it is super important to be on time for these sessions! Being late can cost you that beautiful light. Enjoy the photos of this gorgeous family!
